Mr John Hardie

John Hardie is a Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery registrar in the Wessex Deanery. He was awarded his primary medical degree from King’s College London. He has written and delivered courses for national organisations, and published and presented widely on Human Factors in healthcare.
John underwent initial flying training with the Royal Air Force (RAF). This developed his interest in learning from high reliability organisations (HROs) to improve patient safety in surgery. He currently flies aerobatic ex-military and vintage aircraft from MOD Boscombe Down in Wiltshire.
His wider interests include music, which he studied at Oxford University.
Dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of human factors in surgery, anaesthesia and peri-operative medicine.
