The Clinical Human Factors Group is a charity set up by Martin Bromiley after the death of his late wife during a routine operation. The charity has promotes the application of Human Factors science in all areas of healthcare and provides free training resources and e-learning covering subjects including bullying, hierarchy, culture, speaking-up, design, training and quality improvement.
Interactive e-learning sessions with real-life case studies. It focuses on human factors in surgery, encompassing non-technical skills, safety science, and system design. Ideal for current and aspiring surgical leaders, the course promotes the development of supportive, patient-focused teams and is part of the Professional Passport Programme.
Developed by UEA (University of East Anglia), this course is for healthcare professionals of all levels. It aims to develop awareness of human error in clinical performance, effective communication, cognitive categories and effective and open safety cultures within everyday practice.

A one-day course RCOA course for anaesthetic trainees and consultants who wish to enhance their understanding of human factors and non-technical skills as applied to anaesthesia, as well as clinical or educational supervisors who wish to become more familiar with using ANTS for observation and feedback for trainees.
An RCSEd initiative to build a taxonomy and training system and raise awareness of the importance of NOTSS, including an educational system for assessment and training of non-technical skills in the intra-operative phase of surgery. The project provides learning resources as well as Masterclass courses, which have been delivered internationally. NOTTS has been adopted by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as part of their competence assessment and recommended by the ACGME for workplace assessment in the UK.
